First ppl Q.Q about ursan, then about Shadowform, then about ecto prices going low due to farming and now they whine about voltaic spears.

Get over it and accept the fact that nothing is expensive forever.

So what, stop pestering ANET with having to improve the "economy" even thought there is no such thing as a game economy.. Why? cause id rather they make new CONTENT then have to pay attention to making nerfs or buffs for exploits. Economy is nothing anymore because people are all at least 100k+ rich including all their armor. VS spears are cheaper, so what, they are still expensive and so more people have them... If you want a unique skin, go look at the underrated ones, since people are way to susceptible these days.

Besides the intro of the MOX quests give everyone some 30-40k per char. I would be complaining about that more since anyone with the reqs will get around 320K if they are hardcore in the game enough...

@OP GW is a player driven economy. Aside from what we can get from traders (materials, dye, runes etc...) Anet really has very little influence on how prices are set. Sure they can artificially increase/decrease drop rates. But we're talking about the VS farm here and it's still the same as it was the first day of release. Many of the rare skins of the past fell victim to the public. Someone found an easy/faster way of obtaining them and the news went public. Thus causing a drop in item value do to the increased influx of said rare items.

give it a rest. Its just another fad people are doing, it will change soon anyway

if they nerf it, people will just move onto something else. some people forget how its only a game and an item really isn't gettin all whiny about. If it makes it easier then thats good for you right?

i want to end this by saying if you don't like the skin don't go mental over it. Im not a big fan so i don't actually want or 'need' one. Although if i did get one i wouldn't mind

But then you'll have to wait ages for the price to drop low enough for you the casual player to buy one. So thank yourself for farming, not the farmers =p

IMO, people should learn to quit with the QQing already. You QQ'ers bitched about Ursan, so they nerfed it. Now every man and his dog can clear UW in HM in about 40 minutes. Well done, that really worked out well, didn't it, genius? So they're probably going to listen to your bitching and nerf that too. Well, I'd have made my millions by then, so go ahead and nerf it. The resultant rising ecto price would suit me, actually. Might get a cheap Q9 Voltaic Spear...

Ah well. I don't like exploits, and for that reason I think ANet might want to take a look at this. Not that ANet has a stirling record of getting rid of exploits in PvE.

Ah Ghostbusters makes me want to watch it again.

The VS farm isn't an exploit though. It doesn't intentionally use a game bug or loophole - just a very smart way of using skill sets, mob ai and map design determined by anet to reach a goal.

You buy a video game when it comes out new and you pay 50 or 60 bucks and then a year later you can get it in the bin for 20 bucks. Except in real life people expect this to happen but inside a game people find it ridiculous...

I have a full HoM for my para including all destroyer weapons...when I got them they were about 60k each...now they're not. Such is life. And some items are such that they have classic status and become more expensive. Nothing like an old style r8, non inscribable sword that you bought for 30k and is now 100k +xx ecto's. But again this sort of stuff happens in real life and then we think it's normal...

i didnt know you could farm something with a 2% drop rate, and then you have to be the lucky person out of 8 to get it! amythest aegis are disgusting to look at in the first place, ive seen about 3 drop out of 15 runs. thats a lot better %, but really they were never worth as much to begin with.

the permasin ecto farm was much, much more relevant to the economy, and shows they really dont care about the prices of rare mats (aka onyx/diamond).

The economy has survived many so called 'destructions' already. It will survive this one as well.

I don't get the point of paying 100+k for a gold drop weapon anyways. You can't even add it to HoM. Only Tormenteds deserve these insane prices imo.

I honestly think people will get bored of this farm.... loads and loads of attempts and there will be the very few who get a spear.... then the moaning and people will want to go again - and the person who had one drops out.... add another hopeful... repeat....

The farm isn't an issue... it will go on, just I don't think this spear drop will in any way effect the economy.... it's just moving monies around...
